Alpolic A2

First choice for maximum fire safety
Download folder

Alpolic A2 is a composite panel consisting of two 0.5 mm thick aluminium sheets with a non-combustible mineral polymer core (3 mm). It fulfils the very high requirements of fire class A2 – s1, d0. The panel is coated with the high-quality fluoropolymer resin LUMIFLON, which makes it very colourfast and extremely impact-resistant.

Alpolic A2 composite panels are especially recommended for curtain wall projects and ventilated facades that have to meet very high fire safety requirements. Because these façade constructions are subject to stringent requirements, the individual building materials, the substructure, insulation, connecting elements etc. must meet the strict fire protection requirements. In Great Britain, extensive large-scale fire tests according to BS 8414-1 in 11 different configurations were carried out by the BRE testing institute. The results showed that these A2 composite panels meet the high requirements of BR 135. A confirmation of the high quality and fire safety of Alpolic A2 composite panels.

Other advantages of Alpolic A2 are:

  • Sustainable
  • Easy to process and shape
  • Impact resistant
  • Available up to a width of 2 m

Because of the high-quality fluoropolymer resin Lumiflon coating, the panels are also resistant to all weather conditions, no colour fading or corrosion occurs.
