A façade renovation with an eye for detail and sustainability
In the heart of Düsseldorf, Sorba is transforming the Verwaltungshochhaus of the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA) with a complete façade renovation. The building is being given a fresh, modern look thanks to a combination of ACM Alpolic panels and glass elements, all mounted on a meticulously constructed substructure.
Sleek metallic finish
The façade consists of ACM panels in the colour Anodic Silver, featuring a durable Lumiflon coating. This ensures the façade retains its shine and colour for years to come, even under intense UV exposure. The metallic look gives the building a contemporary appearance, whilst the integrated glass sections create an open, light and transparent façade.
Technology that guarantees quality
Sorba not only handles the installation of the panels, but the entire process of cladding, glazing and the substructure. The façade system has been constructed according to the rainscreen principle, with a thermally broken aluminium supporting structure that allows for ventilation and moisture regulation. The result is a façade that is both functionally and aesthetically impressive: low-maintenance, sustainable and visually striking.
The glass elements emphasise the horizontal lines of the design and allow maximum daylight, making the building both impressive and pleasant to use.
With this renovation, Sorba once again demonstrates how technical expertise, high-quality materials and an eye for design come together in a façade that is both future-proof and aesthetically appealing.
