Transforming with precision and aluminium craftsmanship
In Goch, the former EKZ shopping centre has undergone an impressive metamorphosis. What was once an outdated shopping centre has been thoroughly renovated and reopened as Galerie van Goch, ready for a new future.
Modernisation and restructuring
The existing building was not only refreshed, but completely renovated. The layout was modified to make room for more retail formats, including new tenants such as Netto Marken-Discount and Rossmann. The car park was also refurbished and given improved lighting and clear signage, among other things.
Top-quality aluminium façade
Sorba was responsible for the façade renovation. The project is characterised by a combination of technical craftsmanship and precision:
- Aluminium cladding (3.0 mm thick), anodised in AluNature, for a durable and elegant look
- Underlying façade in polished material, precisely matched to the window openings
- Cylindrically perforated aluminium surfaces for the ramp to the parking deck, creating a dynamic play of light
- Complete substructure for all façade components, guaranteeing stability and durability
This project demonstrates how Sorba transforms existing façades into high-quality, modern façades, with every detail worked out to perfection.
Innovation and quality in execution
The renovation of the Galerie van Goch is an example of how existing retail property projects can be given a new lease of life. Through careful use of materials, thoughtful execution and an integrated approach from design to installation, a façade has been created that is not only functional but also offers visual added value for visitors and local residents.
The perfect finish
The renovation of the former EKZ in Goch shows that transformation is more than just renovation. The project combines different materials and demonstrates that craftsmanship, precision and aesthetic quality lead to a result that is ready for the future.
