Sorba builds the façade for a new testing facility for the Fachhochschule Aachen, Germany. The façade will be cladded with the aluminium composite material Alpolic in the colours Dark Grey and Alu Bronze. The Alpolic will be used as flat sheet cladding and visibly attached. A part of these panels are in front of the windows, but are perforated to still let light through. Close to this building are the chimneys of the Air and Space test centre. The emission of these chimneys can reach high temperatures, therefore the cladding had high requirements on heat resistance and expansion rates.
