Close to the Amsterdam Central Station Sorba works on the construction of the Booking.com Campus for the developer Oosterdokseiland Ontwikkeling Amsterdam C.V.. Sorba will be responsible for the façade of the campus and the façade of the adjecent apartment building with 42 exclusive ODE Apartments. The design for this mix-used development is from UNStudio and Züblin Nederland BV is responsible for the structural execution.

Ceramic façade

For the façade of the Campus Sorba will clad the horizontal parts and the exterior ceiling with around 14.000 ceramic elements (2.800 m²). The eaves will be executed in powder coated aluminium and on the north side of the building the exterior ceiling will be cladded with Alpolic (aluminium composite).

Façade for the apartments

On the south side of the development 42 exclusive apartments will be build. Sorba will develop and install the timber frame construction, fronts, French balconies, and prefabricated balconies with glass railings. The façade will be finished with around 1400 m² Alpolic (aluminium composite) cladding.

Schedule

The engineers at Sorba work closely together with the subcontractors, external consultants, and suppliers at the detail-engineering, building physics and structural calculations. The plan is to start with the production in 2020. The installation on site will likely start in the beginning of 2021 and the completion of the project is planned for 2022.
